If you've been hanging around this blog for a while — reading up on tank clogs, tire blowouts, or which type of rig fits your life — there's a fair chance you've wondered: okay, who is this Squatch guy, and what's the catch?
So let me answer that plainly: there's no catch. All those guides are free because helping people is genuinely the part of this I love. But since you asked (or at least since I'm guessing you might've), let me tell you a little about who I am and how I actually work — because if you're ever in the market for an RV, I'd love to be the person in your corner.
I'm Joe — Squatch to most folks — and I'm an RV salesperson in Murfreesboro (well, technically just up the road in Christiana) at A&L RV Sales. But I promise the word "sell" means something a little different to me than it might to the guy you're picturing.
What Kind of RV Salesperson in Murfreesboro Am I? The Opposite of Pushy.
Let's just address the elephant on the lot: nobody dreams of dealing with a pushy salesperson. The high-pressure, get-'em-to-sign-today, sell-'em-the-most-expensive-thing routine? I can't stand it either. It's exactly the kind of thing that makes good people dread walking onto a lot.
Here's how I see my actual job: I'm not here to sell you a rig. I'm here to help you find your rig. Those are completely different things. One is about moving inventory; the other is about you driving off in something that fits your life, your budget, and how you actually camp — and being genuinely happy about it for years.
And I'll let you in on a secret: the second way is better for me, too. A customer who trusts me, who had a great experience, who sends their camping buddies my way — that's worth ten high-pressure sales. So doing right by you isn't just the decent thing. It's the whole strategy.
My Promise to You
Here's exactly what you can expect if we work together:
I'll listen first. Before I point at a single rig, I want to understand how you camp, who's coming along, where you're headed, and what your real budget is. The rig comes after the conversation, not before.
Zero pressure. Ever. Not ready to buy? Perfect — let's just talk. Need to think about it for six months? Take a year. I'd genuinely rather you get it right than get it fast.
Honest advice, even when it costs me the sale. If a used rig makes more sense for you than a new one, I'll say so. If you're about to buy more than you need, I'll tell you. If now's not the right time, I'll tell you that too. (This whole blog is proof — I'm the guy who wrote a post telling you [what nobody tells you about the true cost of ownership], and another on [how to spot a good salesperson versus a shady one]. I wrote those on purpose.)
If we don't have your fit, I'll help you find it — even if it's not on our lot. This is the big one. My job isn't to force you into whatever's sitting on our lot today. If the rig that's right for you is something we don't carry, I'll help you track it down anyway — even if that means pointing you somewhere else. Your right rig matters more to me than my inventory.
That last one throws people. But it's the honest truth of how I work, and it's exactly why folks trust me.
What We've Got at A&L (For When You're Ready)
When the timing's right and you want to come look, here's what we work with at A&L: new, used, consignment, and trade-in RVs across a solid lineup of brands — Brinkley, Alliance (including the Alliance Benchmark destination trailers), Forest River Salem, Rockwood, and more. Travel trailers, fifth wheels, destination trailers — a good range to match a lot of different folks and budgets.
And if you're just starting out and not sure what any of that means yet, no worries — that's what my [RV types guide] and my whole [RV beginners guide] are for. Read up, then come see me and we'll figure it out together.
Who I Love Helping
Honestly? All of you. But I've got a real soft spot for:
First-time buyers who feel overwhelmed and just want somebody to explain things straight, without being talked down to.
Retirees and future full-timers chasing the dream of hitting the road and wanting to get the rig right.
Weekend warriors who work hard all week and just want a rig that makes the getaway easy.
And if you're none of those — if you're just curious, kicking tires, or have a random RV question at 9 p.m. — that's fine too. Reach out anyway.
Come Say Hi (Or Just Ask Me a Question)
Here's my genuine invitation: whether you're ready to buy, a year out, or just have a question rattling around, reach out. Come find me at A&L RV Sales in Christiana, just outside Murfreesboro — or skip the drive and just call or text me at 615-653-7561. Ask me anything. There's no pressure, no obligation, and no sales script waiting for you. Just a real person who knows RVs and wants to help.
I can't promise I'm the flashiest salesman on the lot. What I can promise is this: you won't find anybody who'll work harder to make sure you end up in the right rig for your life — even if that turns out not to be with me. That's not a sales line. That's just how I do this.
So whenever you're ready, you know where to find me. Until then, keep reading, keep asking questions, and keep dreaming about where you'll go.
I just want you camping happy — and I'd be honored to help you get there.
— Squatch
