Joe Stanford and Squatch the friendly Bigfoot at a Tennessee campground

Hey, I'm Joe — the "Squatch" behind Camping with Squatch.

I help everyday folks buy the right RV, set it up without losing their minds, and actually enjoy camping in Tennessee - minus the sales pressure and the eight-syllable jargon.

The short version

I spent about five years in motorsports sales before I found my way into the RV world, and I noticed something fast: buying a camper is supposed to be exciting, but for most people it's overwhelming. Too many acronyms, too many "trust me" salespeople, and not nearly enough straight answers.

So I decided to become the guy I wish I'd had when I started. And yes — I gave him a Bigfoot.

Why "Squatch"?

Because good RV info online is a lot like Bigfoot: everybody's hunting for the real thing, but most of what you find is blurry, secondhand, and a little hard to believe. Camping with Squatch is my attempt to drag the good stuff out of the woods and into plain sight — clear, honest, occasionally goofy help for real campers.

What I actually do

By day I sell RVs at A&L RV Sales near Murfreesboro, Tennessee — Brinkley, Alliance, Forest River Salem, and Rockwood. I'm the guy behind those 2-Minute Tour walkthrough videos, so you can really see a camper before you ever set foot on the lot.

Off the clock, I'm right here breaking down the stuff that trips people up: travel trailers vs. fifth wheels, new vs. used, holding tanks, solar, batteries, towing, and where to actually point the truck once you've got the keys.

Honest RV help in TN

Here's the deal: you're the hero of your camping story. I'm just the oversized, hairy sidekick who happens to know where the trail goes. Whether you're a first-time buyer, a retiree chasing full-time freedom, or a weekend warrior squeezing in two nights at a Tennessee state park, I'm here to help you make a smart call — and have a whole lot more fun doing it.

No pressure. No jargon dumps. Just honest help from one camper to another.
